Technology to engage lecture
Session 11
Engaging students with technology
Talking about technology in the classroom in not able tools or equipment - it is about changing the way we teach to match the way students learn in a digital age.

Review the lecture and additional videos/notes to develop a better understanding of how technology creates a modern pedagogy that enables learners to engage more readily with the content and teachers to engage more readily with students.

Learning in a digital age

Digital natives - Marc Prensky
In this presentation from TED (Technology, Entertainment, Design) Tom Chatfield talks about the learning potential of games - not so much in their content value but what they tell us about how children learning in a digital society. The principles he identifies apply not just to games and computer content but to all we do in the classroom.

So with the principles identified and the priority established what skills do teachers need to enable them to embrace this new pedagogy. The following list provides a starting point.
